Chronic Cough
Chronic cough refers to a cough that persists for greater than 2 months in duration.
There are both allergic and non-allergic causes of chronic cough including:
- Postnasal Drip secondary to Rhinitis and/or Sinusitis
- Reflux
- Asthma or Eosinophilic Bronchitis
- Smoking and/or COPD
- Infection
- Medications
- Vocal Cord Dysfunction
- Arnold’s Reflex
- Other Lung, Heart, or Gastrointestinal Problems
Often, the cause of chronic cough is multifactorial
